“With a
foundation built on the Word of God and the Sacraments, St. Paul
Lutheran Church will expand the worship, educational, and fellowship
programs and facilities for our members and the surrounding communities.
Based
on Ankeny’s projected growth, in three to five years our communicant
membership will grow from 450 to 600. This represents an increase in
family households from 205 to 246 with an overall baptized membership
increasing from 560 to 760.
Additionally, by year 2020, our membership will grow to 836 communicant members, 312 households, and 1045 baptized members.
During
the next five years, to accommodate the anticipated growth, it will be
necessary for St. Paul Lutheran Church to add two professional staff
members and additional secretarial staff. It will also be necessary to
expand parking, office space, and educational, congregational, and
fellowship facilities.”
