St. Paul Lutheran Preschool

St. Paul Lutheran Preschool has been shaping the spiritual lives and educating the minds of Ankeny's children for almost 30 years.  Licensed by the State of Iowa, St. Paul Preschool relies on college-educated teachers and teacher assistants.  The director/teacher holds an elementary education degree and an Iowa Teaching License.

Our Three-year-old class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:30 AM.
  • The student ratio is 8:1, with a maximum of 32 students.
  • Children must be 3 years old by September 15, 2010
  • Students must be toilet-trained
  • Monthly tuition is $75
Our Four-year-old class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00-11:30 AM
  • The student ratio is 8:1 with a maximum of 24 students.
  • Children must turn 4 years old by September 15, 2010
  • Students must be toilet-trained
  • Monthly tuition is $95
Our Pre-K class meets Monday through Friday from 11:55-2:25 PM
  • There is one teacher and one teacher assistant, serving a maximum of 12 students
  • Children must turn 5 years old by November 1, 2010
  • Ideal for children who are not "quite" ready for all-day, every-day kindergarten
  • Students must be toilet-trained
  • Monthly tuition is $160
    *Classes are subject to sufficient enrollment*

Our preschool is a Christ-Centered preschool which focuses on the development of the "whole" child.  A daily Bible lesson directs our discussion on the difference in right and wrong and good and bad.  We discuss the importance of Jesus in our lives and how we can be more like He wants us to be.  We also learn and practice how to get along with others.  Daily Playtime, Music, Art, Spanish, Story time, and Snack help us practice our social skills and let us have lots of FUN.  In the 4-year-old and Pre-K classes, the children will study the skills necessary to be on track with the Ankeny Kindergarten classroom curriculum.  All classroom supplies and daily snacks are provided by our preschool.
